Steve Parry produced another impressive display to clinch the Ryder Cup Wales 2010 Welsh Open Young PGA Professional Championship at Bull Bay, Anglesey.
The Astley Golf Centre professional put himself in a strong position with a five-under 65 yesterday for a three-shot overnight lead, and it was always going to be tough to beat him in gale force winds and heavy rain on the Irish Sea coast.
He carded a five-over 75 to finish five shots ahead of second-placed George Cowan, of Westerhope.
Essex's Mark Hooper was third on six over after 36 holes and four players tied for fourth on seven over.
In addition to the £1,875 prize money, Parry also wins exemption to the Ryder Cup Wales 2010 Challenge 2008 at the Vale Hotel and Spa Resort in July.
Despite dropping a shot on each of the opening three holes, the 29-year-old recovered with a birdie on the par-five seventh.
He hit three more bogeys on the back nine but made three on the par-four 17th to finish with a level-par total score.
"I'm really pleased with the score today, it was a lot tougher than yesterday," said Parry.
"The wind was really strong and I was putting for par most of the time. I didn't putt quite as well as yesterday but I managed to hole out well.
"I made a good birdie on the 17th when I hit my approach shot to 12-foot and made the putt."
Asked how he would spend the prize money, Parry replied: "I haven't even thought about it - I didn't even know how much it was until I came in just now."
Second-placed Cowan was delighted with his score, which could have been a lot worse after a disappointing start.
"It was hard work," he said. "I didn't begin well and was six over after 10 but birdied 14 and 15 to get back to three over in total.
"But then I dropped those shots again on the 16th and 17th to drop back a bit."
Matthew Tottey, of North Wales, who was runner-up for the past two years and in second place overnight on two under, suffered a disappointing round of 81 to slip way down the leaderboard.
Cardiff's Adam Constable, who was champion last year and in 2006, failed to reproduce his previous performances to finish way back with an aggregate score of 15 over after the two rounds.
"I played badly again today," said Constable. "But I hit a few good shots today so there's light at the end of the tunnel."
